Since 1990, Youth for Christ of Polk County has been impacting at-risk youth in a variety of ministry sites.
The Bartow Youth Academy
A non-secure, residential treatment program for 28 male youth offenders, ages 14-18, who are committed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and in need of Borderline Developmental Disability Serverces.
Juvenile Justice Ministries
JJM seeks to engage young people in relational outreach as they are met in a variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters). This strategy helps young people acquire and develop a way of living taught by Jesus Christ, balancing the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.
